Have you had enough of death by powerpoint?

Grab your markers to join illustrator and graphic recorder Melanie Ida Chopko for a game changing, jump-in-the-deep-end-of-the-pool intro to the world of visual thinking and graphic recording. You’ll leave with skills to support your organization in visioning, strategizing and visual notetaking. No experience in drawing needed: We’ll cover the basics of creating people, places and things. Yes, you too can draw!

The class is designed to cover the following:

– Listening Skills: Learning to distill and record ”The Point”
– Drawing 101: Communicating complex ideas with simple pictures

About Melanie Ida Chopko

Melanie Ida Chopko has been working in the field of systems change and strategic dialogue since 2005, translating complex ideas into simple images to create extra-ordinary results.

Her work as a graphic recorder has been used to support conversations on organizational and business strategy, visioning, sales, clean energy, urban farming, alternative education, and women’s leadership, including clients like Google, Bioneers, Margaret Wheatley, Camp Tawonga, and Advancing Women Professionals.

A graduate of Eugene Lang College, The New School, Melanie holds an interdisciplinary degree in cultural studies, systems thinking and visual art. She studies American and Brazilian music, and is fascinated by Chinese medicine. Can I check your tongue?
